Drawing

My drawing research has been based around embodied practice and seeing drawing as a product of the body for over 10 years. However, this led me to mostly work with plant drawing as a primary focus, with an interest in urban woodlands and green patches as an environment. I have been working with traditional devotional drawing practices throughout this time and am interested in how this bodily and relational approach is connected to both future technology and the way we understand our natural environment and ourselves as human.

Choking Hazards

Choking Hazards is the three dimensional and experimental side of my drawing practice. It is an ongoing collection of small objects based on drawing, devotional practices and the human condition. It mostly consists of jewellery, electronic curiosities and other miniature artefacts. They are material studies, sometimes prototypes and bits of speculative design that sit alongside my drawing and project work. Sometimes I feel they are where the energy is. Some pieces are available to collect; others remain part of the research archive.
